The Couple
Danny has actually been friends with our lead cinematographer, Alex, for over a decade now so this wedding was pretty special for us. Danny is one of the funniest people we know and he has truly found his person in Katie, who is witty, carefree and adorable. They go together like vintage film and Southern California!
The Wedding
Danny and Katie’s wedding was at the historical and very cool Nixon Library. We got so excited to just go to their wedding at that venue. Even though their wedding was postponed a year, it was actually a blessing in disguise because we were able to try out our new (old) Super 8 camera and give them a great keepsake of the day.

“I was a COVID 2020 bride and had to postpone to 2021. In the year we postponed I found Alex and Jim AKA the amazing huckleberries. I wouldn’t have change having to postpone my event just so to ensure they filmed my wedding. Their kindness, excitement, and welcoming attitudes made me feel so comfortable. I felt like a close friend was my videographer. They cared about capturing the special moments and not just the posed or staged videos I’ve seen time and time again. When I received the video I cried and I continue to cry every time I rewatch it. My now husband cried also. Not to mention my mom, friends, neighbors, old teachers - you name it - they cried. The huckleberry perspective is absolutely beautiful. We chose the Super 8 option and loved the vintage and timeless style. If I lost all my wedding photos and memorabilia on accident and could only have my super 8 video I would still be so happy. It is the most perfect video and EVERYTHING I never knew to ask or want. Thank you Alex and Jim. You are the freaking best.”
