The Couple
Gen and Justin met while they were both seniors at Rice University. Their friend set them up to meet at Axelrad in Houston, but they didn’t truly hit it off until they started petting Rocket, the resident chihuahua.
The Wedding
When we first talked to Gen and Justin, they had watched what seemed like hundreds of videos. The were very clear about wanting to be able to collaborate with filmmakers for a video that was emotional without being overly intimate – and captured the beautiful landscape and vibe of their day. Between the time lapses, drone footage and amazing dance party, we just leaned in and gave them a film that was uniquely them!
“Hiring Huckleberry was absolutely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we truly could never say enough about just how awesome Alex and Jim are. We were one of the many couples who went back and forth on having a videographer at their wedding, and who thought that they probably didn’t need one. Now, a couple of months after our wedding, we are SO GLAD that we came around. Our wedding video is so much more than we ever could have hoped for, and we routinely talk about how thankful we are, both to have gotten to work with Alex and Jim, and to have such an incredible memorial of our wedding.
Alex and Jim immediately felt like friends. They were fun and easy to chat with, and it was so clear just how much they care about you, your wedding, and making sure that your priorities and goals for the video are being met. It really meant a lot to us that they cared so much. Huckleberry goes above and beyond in every way. They got sunset footage the day before our wedding, sunrise footage the morning of our wedding, way before any of us were awake, and captured every important moment from the day perfectly.
